RodBooks Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and RodBooks regarding your use of rodbooks.com and the RodBooks SaaS platform (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Disclaimer.

1. Eligibility & account

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Sharing a single account between multiple people is not allowed except on the Business plan, which permits team / multi-seat use within a single organization.

2. Plans, credits & book limits

RodBooks is offered as a subscription with the following monthly limits:

• Free - 10 credits, 3 books, up to 10 puzzles per book.
• Pro ($29/mo or $249/yr) - 100 credits, 5 books, up to 80 puzzles per book.
• Business ($59/mo or $499/yr) - 200 credits, 10 books, unlimited puzzles per book.

Annual plans use the same monthly limits; credits and book quotas refresh each calendar month and do not roll over. AI tools, generators, and book exports each consume credits according to the in-app cost displayed at the time of use.

3. Billing & cancellation

Paid subscriptions are processed by Polar. By subscribing, you authorize Polar to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly or annual basis until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the Polar customer portal linked in your RodBooks billing settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access to paid features until the end of the current billing period, and no partial refunds are issued for unused time except where required by law or under our Refund Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate, publish, or distribute content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Resell, sublicense, white-label, or proxy the Service to other users.
• Attempt to bypass plan limits, scrape the platform, automate sign-ups, or abuse credits.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the Service or its underlying generators.
• Use the Service to compete directly with RodBooks by training models or building a substantially similar SaaS.

Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, and may forfeit any refund eligibility.

5. Your content & commercial license

You retain ownership of the inputs you upload (word lists, niches, prompts, photos) and the books, puzzles, and assets you generate using the Service. RodBooks grants you a worldwide, royalty-free commercial license to use the generated outputs, including for sale on Amazon KDP and other marketplaces, subject to these Terms and our Disclaimer. You are solely responsible for ensuring your published content complies with the rules of the marketplaces you sell on and applicable IP law.

6. Our intellectual property

The RodBooks brand, website, software, source code, lexicons, prompt libraries, templates, and design system are owned by RodBooks and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service while your account is in good standing.

7. AI outputs

AI-generated content (titles, descriptions, keywords, ideas, images) is produced by third-party models on demand. RodBooks does not guarantee uniqueness, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying any AI output before publishing.

8. Service changes & availability

We continuously improve RodBooks and may add, change, or remove features at any time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages, or force-majeure events may cause downtime.

9. Termination

You can close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse credits, charge back payments, or pose a security risk. Upon termination, your access ends and we may delete your data after the retention period described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RodBooks’ total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. RodBooks is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data.

12. Independence

RodBooks is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon, Amazon KDP, Polar, Supabase, or any AI provider. References to those services are for descriptive purposes only.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which RodBooks is established, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Disputes will first be addressed in good faith between the parties; unresolved disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms when our product or laws change. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
